Experience the charm of Safranbolu, a UNESCO-listed town with beautifully restored Ottoman houses. Stay in a historic family-run guesthouse and explore the town at your own pace. On Day 2, enjoy a scenic drive to Amasra, a picturesque coastal town. Discover its beauty, stroll through charming streets, and take an optional 40-minute boat trip (weather permitting). On the final day, enjoy free time in Safranbolu before returning to Istanbul. This tour can be combined with our Cappadocia & Ankara programs.
Meet at Travellers Choose office and transfer to Istanbul Central Bus Station for the intercity day bus to Safranbolu which takes about 6 hours. Once you arrive, you will be met at the bus terminal and transferred to your hotel. The accommodation is an old Ottoman house that has been recently restored and turned into a family run guest house. All of the original architectural features and ornaments have been kept. After you check in, you can go and enjoy Safranbolu on your own.
Guided Amasra Tour After breakfast, you will depart from your hotel for a day trip to Amasra, a beautiful 1 hour scenic drive through the mountains and little villages. Once you get there you will have free time to discover Amasra. Weather conditions permitting, you can hire a boat (15 Euros) and enjoy a 40 minute boat trip. Late in the afternoon, you will return from Amasra to Safranbolu. Overnight in Safranbolu.
After check-out, you will have the remainder of the day to enjoy at your leisure and then be transferred to Safranbolu bus station for the intercity day bus back to Istanbul.
