Experience the tranquility of Safranbolu, a “Cittaslow” (low city) and UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its exceptionally well-preserved Ottoman architecture. Explore the Cincihan Historic Caravanserai, the Ottoman-era Arasta Bazaar, and the enchanting Old Town with its ironworkers and copper craftsmanship.
The journey continues to Amasra, where ancient history meets coastal beauty. Discover the impressive Roman Eagle Statue and immerse yourself in local heritage at the Amasra Museum.
Your comfortable tour includes hotel pick-up and drop-off in Amasra, a delicious lunch, and an expert guide to ensure you miss nothing. For more flexibility, you can choose to be dropped off back at your hotel in Amasra or directly in the city of Safranbolu.
Meet at Travellers Choose office and transfer to Istanbul Central Bus Station for the intercity day bus to Safranbolu which takes about 6 hours. Once you arrive, you will be met at the bus terminal and transferred to your hotel. The accommodation is an old Ottoman house that has been recently restored and turned into a family run guest house. All of the original architectural features and ornaments have been kept. After you check in, you can go and enjoy Safranbolu on your own.
Guided Amasra Tour After breakfast, you will depart from your hotel for a day trip to Amasra, a beautiful 1 hour scenic drive through the mountains and little villages. Once you get there you will have free time to discover Amasra. Weather conditions permitting, you can hire a boat (15 Euros) and enjoy a 40 minute boat trip. Late in the afternoon, you will return from Amasra to Safranbolu. Overnight in Safranbolu.
After check-out, you will have the remainder of the day to enjoy at your leisure and then be transferred to Safranbolu bus station for the intercity day bus back to Istanbul.
