Begin your journey from Cappadocia to Kahta, visiting the historic Karatayhan Caravanserai and enjoying scenic stops along the way. Stay overnight near Mount Nemrut. On Day 2, witness a breathtaking sunrise at the summit of Mount Nemrut, surrounded by colossal ancient statues. Explore Harran before heading to Şanlıurfa. On the final day, visit Birecik, home to the rare Bald Ibis birds. After lunch, travel through the Taurus Mountains before returning to Cappadocia.Harran is an ancient city located in Şanlıurfa, southeastern Turkey, and is considered one of the oldest continuously inhabited settlements in the world. Famous for its unique beehive-shaped houses, Harran was an important center of science, culture, and trade in ancient Mesopotamia. Today, Harran attracts visitors with its rich history, archaeological ruins, and cultural heritage, making it a must-see destination for history and travel enthusiasts.
Cappadocia - Kahramanmaraş - Kahta
Meet your guide and driver at your hotel at 8:00 AM and depart from Cappadocia. After passing through Kayseri, visit the Seljuk Karatayhan Caravansary on the famous Silk Road. Then, travel through the Taurus Mountains and observe the countryside and daily life of rural Türkiye. After a break for lunch, go to Kahramanmaraş and try some of the best ice cream in Türkiye. Overnight stay in Adıyaman.
Adıyaman - Mount Nemrut - Harran - Şanlıurfa
Leave your hotel early in the morning and head towards Mount Nemrut. Get off the minibus at the end of the road and walk for twenty-five minutes to the summit. Watch the unforgettable sunrise among the colossal statues and heads of kings and gods. Afterwards, visit Arsemia, once the capital of the Kingdom of Commagene, before continuing to the ancient Septimus Severus Bridge over the Cendere River and the Karakuş Tumulus, where members of the royal family are buried.
Continue towards Şanlıurfa and Harran. On the way, visit the Atatürk Dam, the largest dam in the Middle East. Check into your hotel in Şanlıurfa and have lunch there. Visit Göbeklitepe, an 11,500-year-old hilltop temple believed by archaeologists to be the oldest sacred site in the world. After lunch, visit the Cave of Abraham and the Sacred Carp Pools surrounding it. Next, stroll through a traditional Eastern covered market and the Gumrukhan. Travel to Harran, a village of mud-brick "beehive" houses mentioned in the Book of Genesis, where Abraham spent his final years. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in Şanlıurfa.
Sanliurfa Cappadocia - End of Tour After breakfast, we depart from Sanliurfa to Birecik, which is known for its Bald Ibis (Kelaynak) birds. These birds live only in Birecik and there is a very limited population remaining today. Visit the breeding farm of Bald Ibis birds. After lunch, drive up to the Taurus Mountains. After a short tea break, we will drive back to Cappadocia.
