Cappadocia is famous for its underground cities such as Derinkuyu and Kaymaklı, fairy chimneys, historical monasteries and churches in its districts such as Göreme and Ürgüp. Göreme Open Air Museum is an important archaeological site showcasing early Christian monastic life and art in Cappadocia.
